Congratulations to Quantum Newport’s Tim Healy and his team on USA 5235 for winning the 2010 J/24 World Championships in Malmo, Sweden.
Tim and his team sailed a great regatta with amazing speed and very consistent, all top ten finishes, to win the 50 boat fleet. Great job World Champs.
Quantum Italy’s Andrea Casale and his team on ITA 461 finished a solid 3rd place. Andrea is a past J/24 World Champion and this was his first World Championship sailing with Quantum J/24 class sails.
Great job to these teams as this give Quantum a solid 1,3 finish at the toughest J/24 event of the year.
Both teams sailed with Quantum class J/24 sails including: 2010 Technora Tri-Radial Genoa, TH-2 Dacron Mainsail, Tri-Radial San Fran Jib and the Tri-Radial Class Spin.
This win along with Quantum Holland’s Nic Bol’s win at the 2010 J/22 Worlds gives Quantum a clean sweep of the 2 toughest J/Boat classes in the World.
